This abacus was discovered by me in the Shukrawari flea market in Vadodara. There is an inscription with probably the name of owner. One of the rows of beads is missing.
The images show two of the many ways this can be displayed. Abacus reminds me of spreadsheets, calculators, account books etc. It is wonderful to imagine the calculations that were done using this. Of how those calculations would have had an effect on the people connected to it.
