This chisel was fine but with a big chip off the handle from its butt. Do I remove the blade from the embed and then put on a new handle? Since the functionality of the cutting part was fine, only the handling part was the issue. It felt wrong to remove the blade. This dilemma made this chisel sit for a long while in a corner until I found this turned handle at the flea market. Now it is a match made in heaven.
The width of the blade is a shade smaller than an inch, perfect for working inch wide mortises.
