Description

This was the peepal tree that made me fall in love with trees. It stood right outside my room window. I lived two years in this place and could see the tree going through its different phases. When it was full of leaves, the sound of the wind through them was a constant white noise. At some times it would shed its leaves. These times of sudden change were more dramatic. This leaf chose to wake up a bit early.

The frame has been handmade by myself. The corners have mortise and tenon joints. The driftwood pieces on the two corners were picked up from the girnar hills, in Junagadh, Gujarat. To avoid breakage of glass during shipping, I have used acrylic glass. The painted area is 5.5 by 7 inches. The max width and height of the entire frame is about 12 by 12 inches.
