Meditating on Red – 003 original watercolor painting walldecor yoga

Description

This is from one of my recent experiments with color. This is from the series of Red. I am starting from the last of the Vibgyor colors.

The base of the vertical painting is kept heavy to root the painting. This bright red splash of color can enliven any room.

The black square at the bottom could also denote muladhara chakra, the foundation of our energy system. It has been intentionally kept ‘not solid’ to denote primal fears that we may have.

Size of the painting is 7.5 by 17.5 inches. It is done on old paper with water color. I love working with old paper as it interacts with water in a very interesting way.
