I have had the good fortune to spend quality times with some very passionate architects. And through their eyes I began to see buildings. I live in Ahmedabad which has a history of more than 400 years. It’s buildings also showcase many different styles from different vintages. This building with its rounded corners, which I believe shows art deco aesthetic came to my notice on one of my city bicycle rides. The clean lines of the building, with a well defined aesthetic and the mossy utilitarian wall in front, with its broken glass protection on top, made a memorable visual.
I have tried to portray that though this painting. Tried some new things, like cutouts/collage. Used pieces of plastic for the glass.
The size of the painting is 5.5 by 7.5 inches.
