This is a handmade illustration of a Indian tiger on a hunt. The size of this painting is 8.5 by 6 inch. The medium is watercolor and gaouche, on paper.

You can chose to purchase only the painting or including frame. I make the wooden frames myself using handtools with joinery.

The Royal Bengal Tiger or the Panthera Tigris Tigris is famous for its orange color with its black stripes. This color and stripes biologists say, helps it camouflage with its surroundings. From having seen a few during indian summers in central India, I can vouch for that fact. During that time the entire forest floor is different shades of yellow to ochre to orange from the fallen flames of forest flowers. It is literally impossible to see it hidden in plain site.
