This 1:12 scale Chandigarh chair is handcrafted for the collector who appreciates the natural beauty of real wood and a clean, architectural silhouette.

​The Design

​The Chandigarh chair is an iconic piece designed by Mr. Le Corbusier. The same person behind the city planning of Chandigarh city in north India. His philosophy for both was ‘Design for Infrastructure’.

The 30 odd parts have been handcut and joined using ‘joinery’ to keep it closer to the original.

​Scale: 1:12 (Standard one-inch scale)

​Material: 100% Genuine Teakwood — It is cut with handsaws, and not laser or CNC

​Assembly: Hand-assembled 30-part construction, with joinery

Size: The size of this is 2X2x3 inches.

Suitable for: This version is for the more tasteful audience. There is another version which looks almost the same, but is much simpler in construction. There the parts are connected just with high strength superglue, without joinery. Very suitable for gifting to folks who are design, aesthetics, architecture sensitive. If they have any connection to Punjab, Haryana or Chandigarh even more so.
