Holy Cow – No. 1 original watercolor painting

Description

This is the first of a series of cow paintings that I have started. Cow is considered sacred in India. I plan on using the color Indian yellow in this series. This color has a connection to the cow.

The size of the painting is 15 by 19 cm. Painted on home made wasli (2 sheets). The body of the cow does not have any black pigment. Different colors have been used to bring the velvety dark brown/purple sheen common in nature.
