Description

These dice have been made by hand, using brass. The edges and corners have been made smooth. There are two variations as of now. First one is made with teakwood with copper inlays. The length of these is about 2 inches. The second option is brass made about 3/4 inch with drilled marks.

These are traditional Indian dice. They are not the usual cuboid 6 faced one. There are two long dice with four faces each. These four faces have 1,2,3 and a blank face. They are played both together. The score is the sum of both the top faces of the dice. This makes it possible for someone to have a score of zero, when they play, if both dice fall with blank faces up. With the six faced dice the minimum score one can get is 1. Also the chances of getting a six, get slimmer. With the cube dice the chances of a 6 is 1/6. While with these two dice, it is 1/4 x 1/4, 1/16. Just starting the game might take some time, for six to come.

You can use these with traditional Indian games like Moksha Patam, Pachisi etc. You can also use these with any other board game which use the traditional six faced dice. The change in the chances, especially of six, and the new possibility of a zero score can make old board games more interesting.
