This japanese kanna was discovered by me on a tool hunting trip to Alang.
The length of the plane is 15.5 inches. There are two round handles for extra grip. The blade is a laminated one, where a hard steel is forge welded to a softer steel. The blade width is 2.5 inches. It will be shipped sharp and ready to use. The body has a crack starting at the slot. A brass pin had been inserted into the body as an additional support.
